OUR GARDENS
Our gardens at Netherby Hall are at the heart of the relationship between growing and cooking. Set within the the historic walled garden, they provide Pentonbridge Inn with a changing supply of seasonal produce, grown with a clear understanding of its provenance and character.
From vegetables, fruit and herbs to the flowers grown for the Inn, the garden gives us greater control over the ingredients we use.
Garden Visits are available on request, please let us know if you would like to visit and we can help arrange.
GARDEN VISIT
SUSTAINABILITY
We share a long-term vision for responsible hospitality, guided by owners Gerald and Margo Smith’s belief in caring for the land as we welcome our guests.
Operating without fossil fuels for cooking or heating. A biomass boiler and 240 ground-mounted solar panels, generating 102 kWp of renewable energy, help power the Inn, while guests can also make use of on-site electric vehicle charging.
All food waste from the Pentonbridge Inn kitchen is composted and returned to the gardens at Netherby Hall, helping to reduce waste while returning valuable nutrients to the soil where much of our produce is grown.
