Chef de Partie– Michelin Star Restaurant

Reports to: Head Chef

​

Hours: Wednesday – Saturdays approximately 40hrs per week

 

Salary: From £28,000 per year + paid overtime + tips

​

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum inclusive of annual closures (based on a 4-day working week)

​

Location: Pentonbridge Inn, Penton, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA6 5QB

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our 1 Michelin star, 3AA Rosette Restaurant. We operate a 4-day working week from Wednesday to Saturday understanding the need for a good work/life balance. We also offer a comprehensive private healthcare scheme for all our employees.

​

​As a Chef de Partie at Pentonbridge Inn, you’ll play a key role in delivering our ever-evolving tasting menus that celebrate the best of the seasons. Working closely with our on-site garden team and walled kitchen garden, you’ll have a unique opportunity to cook with exceptional, hyper-seasonal produce—often harvested just hours before service.

You’ll be responsible for running your own section to the highest standard, contributing to menu development, and helping to maintain a positive, professional environment in our focused and collaborative kitchen.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous Chef de Partie experience working within a Michelin starred/3 AA Rosette establishment or strong experience as a Demi Chef looking to step up

  • Passion for working with quality seasonal ingredients

  • Understanding of growing methods and seasonality

  • Organised, self-motivated, and confident in running a section​
